When looking at you

I have the awareness

That while my eyes pour across your every angle

Obsessing over each blade of your beard

Craving the inside of your mouth

Contemplating the logistics of fixing myself within the gap between your teeth on the left side

- because maybe there I can quench my desire to be near you, perhaps that’s the close enough I’m looking for and lodged neatly there I’ll be satisfied -

Through all of this silent chaos

That I create when looking at you

I have the exhilarating awareness

That your eyes are busy

Consuming me

At the same rate

(This doesn’t help)
